A double hull structure is applied in all cargo holds, and from No.2 thru No.4 cargo holds are square holds. Overhang of the cross deck is minimized in order to improve the cargo handling efficiency. Also, the fuel tank is double hulled and arranged in a location with consideration for environment. The cargo capacity of 37,000 ton in the top category is assured, and it can be navigated safely only with the exclusive ballast tank even with heavy ballast in case of foul weather without flooding to the cargo hold.

design concept of "Reducing time for loading/unloading". WAKANATSU is the first
ship equipped with Auto-Lashing Device in the world, and the device is
functioning to reduce crew’s labor remarkably. Onomichi Dockyard spent totally 8
years to develop the Auto-Lashing Device.
Not only the function and performance, but also we pursued good appearance of the ship by making full use of the 3-D computer graphic.
